Care & Maintenance

Clean the detachable ceramic bowl (dishwasher safe on the top rack) and the food hopper every 1–2 weeks. Handle the bowl with care as ceramic can chip or crack if dropped. Frequently Asked Questions

Smart feeding and hydration shouldn't come with guesswork. Browse the answers below, or message us — we're pet people too.

How do I introduce my pet to a new DOUDOU PET device?

Place it where your pet already eats or drinks, without an active schedule at first. Let them explore for a day or two, add familiar food or water nearby, and manually trigger it once while they're present so they associate the sound with routine.

Is it compatible with my phone and Wi-Fi?

Works with iOS 12+ and Android 8.0+. The device connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only (5GHz networks are not supported).

How long is video footage stored, and can I view past recordings?

Recent footage is viewable through the app with cloud playback support. Contact support for the current storage plan details.

How long does the battery last?

Feeders: 1200mAh (3-5 days) or 8000mAh (30+ days standby). Fountains: 2400mAh (short trips) or 4000mAh (long vacation standby).

Will it still work during a power outage?

Yes. The backup battery automatically takes over so feeding schedules or water circulation continue uninterrupted during a power cut.

Will the feeder still dispense food if it loses Wi-Fi or internet connection?

Yes, feeding schedules are stored on the device and continue to run even if the internet connection drops.

How much food does the hopper hold?

4.5L large vacuum hopper for long-term dry food storage.

How does it keep kibble fresh?

The Vacuum Fresh-Keep System actively vacuum-seals the hopper against moisture and oxidation, keeping kibble crisp without desiccant packets.

Can it feed two cats separately with different portions?

Yes - the Duo double-bowl version gives each pet an independent bowl with its own feeding schedule and portion size.

How often should I clean the bowl and hopper?

Every 1-2 weeks for the detachable ceramic bowl and hopper. Never submerge the main electronic unit in water.
